Warning! This product could kill you.
kill you with good times that is... I kid. BUT, in all seriousness, there are risks associated with Kratom and CBD (we've had to enumerate them below to be on the right side of the law), and it is important for you to be aware of the risks associated with these molecules. However, it is equally important for you to understand that EVERY single thing you do or don't do has a risk associated with it. Literally everything. And following this line of reasoning, if nothing is risk free than there is very rarely a perfect solution/decision, because everything involves trade offs of potential bad things happening.

When I used to teach risk management at university, I really tried to hammer home first that risk is everywhere, and second that risk is only a product of likelihood and impact, meaning those two criteria (how likely is it going to happen and how bad is it going to hurt if it does) are the only things you should use to assess risk when making decisions. For example, at the time of my research, roughly 2,500,000 people die EVERY year from Alcohol. Tobacco is responsible for nearly 6,000,000 (two comma's are not a typo... that's millions of deaths). Heart disease kills nearly 18,000,000 each year... simply from eating sugar and other refined crap that destroys the body from the inside out.
When you only look at the numbers and remove emotion, beliefs and conviction, it can get a little silly. For instance, statistically speaking a person has roughly the same probability of choking to death on pills, or even getting hit by another car while taking them, than to die from what is in them. Last I heard more people died the past decade from vending machines falling on them than overdosed from Marijuana...

I have to be careful here because I'm not saying there is no risk in taking this product. I am simply saying that it is more important now than ever to be informed and a little skeptical, even of me (although I can give you the sources of my data). I encourage everyone to start moving away from the black and white of what we are being told and start actively embracing the shades of grey and nuance that are being eroded by cancel culture, click bait and Kelly Clarkson (LOL. don't have anything against her... just got on a roll with alliteration).

My last point on this being a little more of a grey topic is the undeniable godsend Kratom and CBD have been in helping people escape their opiate addiction, and even with the knowledge that Kratom responds similarly on the pain receptors, Fentanyl, heroin, oxy's are orders of magnitude more dangerous. Back of the napkin math here, but I would be willing to bet that Kratom and CBD/THC companies have saved tens of thousands of lives through having a trade down option available to those who are stuck and without hope due to the perils of the disease of addiction.

So go ahead and indulge or don't... I have found that this has really helped me, and helped many others, and until my mind is changed with actual facts, I believe there are many use cases for this product. Just take it responsibly. Moderation in all things; you can die from drinking too much water. But I am a firm believer that if for no other reason, we need these options available as a safer alternative to alcohol, pain meds, tobacco, Ambien and sugar (souds tongue in cheek but facts are facts)
